I'm an expat in a very small city, working at hotel. I'm the only english sneaker there, but I do communicate with my coworkers since I'm trying to learn their language. They're lovely local people.
My general manager is, to put it nicely, manic and eccentric. He got his degree in florida, so he think he's smarter and more cultured than locals.
My coworkers warned me that I shouldn't get under his radar, but stupid me since I could communicate with him easier, started talking to him.
He's the type that gets angry very easily, shows reaction but would come back to normal in a minute. I also noticed you can't say no to him because he would throw a fit.
I always stay the night shift, and he would arrive me and others. He once told me let's have dinner together and we did. He talked the whole time and then arrived me back home.
Tonight, I was the only one in his car and he said let's go groceries shopping and then let's cook something at my home.
I panicked and said I'm tired and I need to sleep, he went from zero to hundred, talking to himself saying If he was me he would say no as well, I'm a young girl blah blah blah, then he told me I'm ditching him because I think he has bad intentions and how I shouldn't think that.
I said no, I don't think that, he said yes you do, and dropped me off.
How was I supposed to react? I'm so lost and confused. Should I continue my job, pretending everything is normal? Is this atmosphere normal?
