Awhile back a brand the company I work at works with came forward requesting me to design promotional images for them.
Naturally my boss said of course without even consulting me and said it was going to be done within my working hours.
My boss informed me yesterday about this new development. So I asked him how much more will I get paid for the extra work.
Now my boss is trying to find out how much the third party is willing to pay so that he can find out how much to give me out of it.
Meanwhile I'm letting it be known I find it completely unfair that I'm going to be expected to do my normal job AND designs for this other brand while MY profits from the second job are going to be 'split' even though it's just me working on it during company time but the company thinks it warrants a cut of my profit for that reason.
