My co-worker and I quit at the same time and we both haven’t received our last paycheck and it’s been over a week.

Is this an appropriate email to send? My sister advised that I mention reporting him. I called the daycare on payday to ask if I can pick up the check and the owner said it will be mailed. I called on Monday and he said it should be there today. It’s been a week later now, haven’t received anything either. I reallllly need this money
