So I work for company A and A bought Company B and now I do customer service for company B. It’s not what was originally meant to be but whatever I’ll look for a new job in the meantime. Right? We all know mergers are usually bad and chaotic and whatnot.
Now Company B is off Friday, but not Company A. and while I still had to come in my understanding was I’d just clear emails and the phones and live chat will be down but the genius decision has be made that I will do everything by myself because they “believe in“ me. And I’m so pissed off That I actually told my manager that I’ve never worked anywhere that did this before. When I worked in an tax office and everyone couldn’t be in(wedding, got sick, etc) my manager told me to lock the door and babysit the office. Not just “help as many people as you can”
Now I’m babysitting a whole call center and live chat?! What the absolute fuck?!
