My company said our yearly raises were effective April 1st but our pay stubs only reflected it from April 15th on

What's the best way to call them out on it without putting a target on my back? All salaried employees were paid at their new rate for the entire month of April but none of the hourly employees were and we did not receive back wages with our last check like we expected.
