I have a co-worker who hates me. I don't know what his obsession is but he does everything he can to screw with me. Recently they deleted my reddit account.
About a week ago I couldn't log into my account. I tried to do a password reset and was told my account didn't exist. I checked my email and found a notification of a password change the previous day. So I knew someone had gained access to my account and deleted it at this point.
Then I contacted the Reddit moderator team who were able to restore my account and send me a password reset. They also sent me a link to see the ip addresses of everyone who logged into the account recently. I see a lot of entries from my phone carrier, but the day my account was deleted there was a log in from a different IP and provider than I usually use. Curious, I search the location of the IP; It's the city where I work. Even more curious. I check my own IP at my work computer, and it's the same ip. But the browser and Windows version don't match my computer, meaning it's one of my coworkers.
I've never logged into this account on that computer, only my Google account which of course has my passwords available to anyone with my computer password. I'm fairly certain this is how they got my password.
I'm honestly shocked. I knew they hated me but I didn't think they would be this pathetic and under handed. I don't even know what to do at this point. I got my account back and it's secured, so there isn't much else to do. I'm averse to the kind of retaliation that comes to mind because I don't want to risk my job. Not sure if this is the right sub but I thought it would fit.
Edit: a little more info, I spoke to my supervisor about it, and his response was “we've been hacked before” so no help there.
