My employer asks me if I would like to stay longer on some week days and then if I would like to get overtime and work the weekend. After working all of this and expecting to be getting a nice check, my supervisor asks me to take the day off and burn the time. Is this legal even though I was told I would get paid over time and worked the extra days/time that I was scheduled to be off? I’ve read up a lot about this but not this exact situation. I live in Louisiana btw if that helps.
