I left my previous job in June. I’ve posted about it here before, basically the boss was a narcissistic asshole who made my life a living hell and enjoyed yelling at me until he made me cry. On my last day there he yelled at me over the phone so loud everyone in the room heard him clearly, and told me to post an ad for my job and threatened to bust me down to $15/hour. I quit on the spot and never went back. The next few weeks were full of phone calls from him, his wife, and his lapdog. When I got a new job offer, my old boss got wind of it and called the new company, told them a bunch of lies and cost me the job.
So anyway it’s been about 5 months since I started my new job. I am absolutely killing it and my manager has nothing but nice things to say about me. I’m getting a promotion next week. This morning I got to work and checked my personal email before clocking in. There was an email from linked-in, telling me 6 people had viewed my profile.
I logged in to see who was creeping on me and they were all recruiters except one. Two weeks ago, my ex-boss viewed it. There’s no reason for it, unless he was looking for my new employer. I gave my manager a heads up and showed her what he had done and she said there’s nothing to worry about, even if he tried to call them she’d just throw out the message because she knows he’s just trying to be an ass.
Seriously though, wtf. Get a life, dude! I don’t work for you and I’m never coming back. No amount of money would make it worth it. Now I’m wondering if he’ll release my 1099 next month without a fight. God I hate that guy. And yes, I blocked him, his wife, the company, and all of the linked employees.
