At my job, I’m suppose to do the “online portion” for learning the job, but instead, they wanted me to get the real world learning experience by working directly with my coworkers. Makes sense and did what I was told. Next month is my last month, so I assume I have time since they’re not pressuring me. Even my coworker said that this is typical and he did his training even after the 3 month period. Suddenly, we have a regional auditor coming before the last day of my 3 month training period and my Manager comes up to me panicking to tell me to get it done asap with the date of the auditor. I’ve been working by myself because one of my coworker became hospitalized, one went on vacation, one is filling in for the night role, and it just leaves 2 or 3 people working this job. I can’t do my online training while working by myself, so my Manager is panicking and telling me that I should have started it two days ago despite not being able to. Nothing was giving me red flags that this was an urgent matter until just now and now I went from having 2.5 weeks to 2 days… and, with limited employees at the job being able to work… all because of an auditor is putting pressure because it’s my manager who will get in trouble because I didn’t finish the online training portion on time…
