Hello everyone! My friend works at daycare in boston and she recently put in her two weeks because she got offered a job at a skin care center. She went to beautician school for skin care and waxing, and she is excited to start her new opportunity. My friend has worked at this daycare for about two years now and she told her boss six months ago that she is looking for another job since she just graduated and passed her benchmark test. Her supervisor agreed and was happy for her. My friend orginially, told her supervisor that she would stay till the end of june but she only said that because she wasnt sure if she would find another job. Now, since she found one… One of her supervisors at the daycare has started being verbal abusive towards her. She is now being bullied, and verbal assaulted every time she is there. You know what the worse part is? That supervisor is now trying to gaslight her into staying.
This isnt the first time my friend had problems with this job A couple weeks ago, my friend had the flu and a fever. Her job made her go into to take a temperature test to prove if she was actually sick. When they found out she had a 110 degree fever, they let her go home. Before that her boss refuse to let her call out at all.
I told my friend to call HR but I am not sure if her daycare even has one. Are daycare supervisors really this abusive to their workers?
