My god I hate micromanagement tools/boss ware.

There was this thing called ‘focusIQ’ at my old job. Pretty much you had to put in what you did at every hour of every work day and they cross check it every day. If you take too long on something they’ll berate you as to why you spent so long on something. We were told it’s for ‘professional development’ and that it definitely isn’t ‘big brother’. All these tools do is establish that there’s mistrust and in my opinion is actually counter productive. I couldn’t stand it because I have adhd and couldn’t adhere to specific timeframes for everything it was so anxiety inducing knowing everything I’m doing was being tracked and monitored and I was ready for a scolding if I took too long despite trying my hardest. For context I worked in complaint handling at a big bank in Australia.
