Antiwork

My hard work paid off at my throwaway job but not my primary job (the one care about).

(F/32) I'm kinda mad. I've been working at UPS for a long time and it's the place I want to establish my career at. My goal is to become a driver. However because it's only part time until you bid into a fulltime position I had to pick up a second job, which is at Taco Bell. I've been at Taco Bell for just over a month and they have asked me to become a Shift Lead due to the fact that I'm doing my job well and going above and beyond. UPS literally treats me like I don't matter. They weren't there for me when I was having panic attacks. UPS literally treats me like I don't matter. They weren't there for me when I was having panic attacks. They're throwing policy in my face over numerous things yet not punishing others for the same stuff. I don't get it, I'm rarely late, I rarely call in, I bust my ass to take care of my drivers. I'm even put on a particular set of trucks because I was requested by a driver. Yet I get treated like crap.

I don't know where I'm going with this but I just thought about how weird it is that after 14 years working in various jobs the one job I didn't want a career in, is the one that has offered me a chance to move up. Lol

For the record, I don't hate Taco Bell. I enjoy the people I worked with and even the work itself I just don't want it to be my career.
