I have been having health issues. I just started a new career at a credit union two months ago. I started having what seemed like UTI symptoms and it wasn't a UTI three weeks ago. I got results back from my ultrasound and I have a mass on my kidney. I talked to HR about this and their response?
“We don't allow time off without PTO so you can leave your position and reapply when your situation is resolved, or you could ask others to donate PTO so that you can take time off to handle your medical issues.” And then added, “We're sorry to hear you're not feeling well.”
Um, thanks? So I guess I'm going to be jobless since I need time off for multiple screenings, biopsies, and probably surgery not to mention if it's not benign I might need cancer treatment.
