I work retail and I’m a full time college student. This year I had stood at the register for going on 6 hours calling for someone to come relieve me to go to the restroom. No one ever came so I said fuck it and walked away from the cash wrap to go to the bathroom. One of the managers proceeded to chase me down saying “NO YOU CANT LEAVE THE REGISTER UNATTENDED” I turned around and screamed back “NO I HAVE TO PEE I CANT HOLD IT IN ANYMORE.” In front of the whole line. Some old ladies were like awwww poor baby and some of them were looking at me like EW. Crazy thing is they had the audacity to run after me to tell me I can’t pee but guess what? When I got back to the register she never took over. It was still empty as I left it. Like you have time to chase me to tell me I can’t pee but can’t even go get on the register. At this point I wish I didn’t have to work here to pay for school because they can kiss my ass.
