I just started a new job a little over a month ago and at first they were all about working from home, come into the office as needed (there are some projects that do require to be in the office but they're few and far between). A few weeks ago we were told that they wanted everyone in on Wednesdays regardless of the project. Annoying but we put up with it. Now they want us to come in 1 full week during the month and every Wednesday. Next week is our first full week in the office and I'm seething. I hate to leave the job, I like the projects but I don't like how they're passively making us return to the office…
Furthermore, they have 2 full time positions they want to fill but nobody will bite because they don't like a hybrid (LOL) schedule. Irony?
