I have had my current availability for years, but recently the company “changed their rules” for part time employee availability. i am now required to give availability for both Saturday and Sunday- even though i have had Sunday off for 2+ years and my team has survived just fine. here’s the kicker- more than half of my job is shipping and receiving- would love to know their reasoning behind making me work when we don’t ship or receive on Sundays. I honestly can’t see a reason besides they want all employees to be a little bit miserable.
I am not available for work on Sundays, and when i told them i wasn’t available, they told me to “rethink this job.” i’ve been there for 5 years.
