I have 2 jobs. One I work M and Tu at the Mall, the other is W, Th, F, and S at a hotel. Both bosses agreed to this schedule.
I came to work this morning and my boss called me as soon as I pulled into the parking lot, and asked if I wanted the day off bc we didn't have very many check ins last night, so not very many rooms to clean today. I told my boss yes bc I didn't sleep well. She told me to get some sleep bc tomorrow will be a very busy day, as we are fully booked tonight. I, and everyone in the background, reminded her that I don't work on Sundays. It's my only day off. I also made plans with several people tonight and tomorrow and those people are relying on me for a ride.
She told me that the other manager put me on the schedule and when I get there tomorrow I can talk to him about fixing it for NEXT week. Again I told her it's outside of my availability and I won't be able to come in and she said “I won't be there so you'll have to be there”. 1. I'm not manager status, I cannot replace her if she's gone. That doesn't make sense. 2. She had been excited 2 days prior about being allowed to wear jeans and her Cheifs shirt to work. I don't know why it's changed all of a sudden.
This isn't the first time we've had issues with my scheduling. They tried to schedule me on a Tuesday two weeks ago and when I didn't show up they called me while I was at my other job and very rudely asked if I was going to bother showing up to work today. I reminded them of my schedule and I thought that would be it but it's not.
This was a mistake on the managers part but I'm going to be blamed if I call in tomorrow. If we are fully booked tonight that means 11-15 rooms per person if we're fully staffed and if I call out those rooms will fall on my coworkers. I'm not sure what to do.
