Hey there, so my job sent me a letter in the mail back in January stating that I will be receiving a $0.50 raise starting January of this year. I recently checked my pay stubs while doing taxes and noticed that I've been being paid the same rate as before, this entire time. I want to bring this up to payroll, but I don't have any “proof” of the letter as I had thrown it out already, believing that it was taken care of. Unfortunately, it was the only document whatsoever that stated this raise, and I foolishly didn't expect my job to just…. not give me the raise they said they would. How do I approach this situation?
