My job will give you a summer bonus but…

I work in the aviation world as part of a contracted ramp/gate/ticket etc. company for two of the larger airlines. The busiest ones at our airport. The summer (June-September) is our busiest time at my station due to a huge influx of tourist to the area. We are severely short staffed and over worked. The temperatures here can hit over 100 on the ramp with stupidly high humidity. We just received news that we can get a summer bonus at the end of august if and only if you never call out sick once for the summer and aren’t even a minute late for even one day or else you don’t get the bonus at all. Not a penny. You’re late the first day of the summer due to construction in the area? You can kiss any “incentivize” goodbye. In my opinion it’s absolute bullshit. Our manger talking about how…

In my opinion it’s absolute bullshit. Our manger talking about how it essential a $3.25 raise if you divide it up over the summer. Why don’t we instead get a raise to match the area? You pay us $14 an hour when an average 1 bedroom studio apartment is $1100 a month. When if you scroll through indeed we are the lowest paying ad on there.
