I got written up for not going to a mandatory meeting that I was not aware of till the day came by, I wrote in the write up that there was no method of confirmation and that it wasn’t scheduled in so I didn’t have a way of knowing. I left, and now today they’re writing me up again for missing a mandatory meeting that they emailed out the day of my write up, which i then said they didn’t have a method of confirmation so how do they know i got it? Management (just one manager no other witness manager) responded with “we spoke to legal team and us sending the email is enough” and that they’re essentially protected and if it happens again i will be terminated(the1st not showing up mandatory meeting was my 3rd related write up) I’m in California, should i get DOL involved? Is what they’re doing illegal?
