My manager is giving the silent treatment on the new staff, what do I do?

So he’s a full time, and my manager was telling me that he kind of lied in his interview telling her he had six years of experience in customer service. She was upset when he started because it was clear that he didn’t have that much of experience actually. My manager is nice, but she can be a bitch sometimes and because of that I have a huge problem at connecting with her. I think it is more related to the way that she treat others, because I hate people treating other like shit. It really upsets me and make me think “less” of them. He shouldn’t have lied, but now he’s here for a month, and he is a bit of an anxious person, but it is so sad to me to see he’s trying his best and improving, but even though she doesn’t care.

It became kind of personal.

When she comes she says “hi” to everybody, but when it comes to him, it is such a snob “hi” that it hurts me.

I usually pretend that I don’t see.

The other day he mentioned that to me, and said that he has the impression that the manager don’t like him.

I tried to cool things down for him, and said that this unfortunately happen a lot in working environments and that even though they weren’t saying anything to him, he was doing great and improved a lot.

She was telling me today that he is a bit awkward and my manager and the supervisor usually imitate him when they say that.

(At certain moments, due to anxiety I believe, specially the way they treat him which makes it worse, he kind of freezes and he’s not as proactive as we are, which could be taught to him, but it seems like they just don’t want him to stay.)

My problem is that they should let him know if they think he didn’t fit the work environment, not treat him like shit, giving the silent treatment.

My manager never looks him in the eyes.

Should I say something to her?
