She'll sneak it into casual conversation and it is so irritating. Today I was talking about a picture I'd seen on reddit of a guy realizing 50k of his 50,090 followers were actually just bots and she immediately said “that's probably how it is with Biden's Twitter” and I visibly rolled my eyes because I was caught so off guard by the needless politicizing of the discussion. She does this every day, multiple times a day, and everyone at work, even other conservatives, dislikes how much she runs her mouth but nobody can talk to her about it because it's still really new but I predict at least one person getting sick of it and quitting and telling her off eventually. Maybe not because everybody is an adult and pretty mature but I'm not sure, a couple people seem like they might pop off. I've been trying to engage but her ignorance really makes my heart race. I have to slow myself down so I don't have a fucking aneurism at the sheer quantity of offensive drivel she manages to expel from her mouth because it's like there's too many things wrong with what she's saying to address them all at once.
When I decide to probe for signs of intelligent life by asking innocent questions like “why do you eat MORE beef just because Bill Gates and AOC said cows are bad for the environment?” “Oh because you want to spite them? Why would you want to let politics affect your life so much?” And she'd respond with something like “that's just how I roll, I can be ghetto too.” And I'm left wondering what the fuck she's talking about or what she means. I am never ready for these people when I meet them in real life.
I imagine she fashions herself this wild spirit that can't be tamed, if you tell her something she likes is bad then she'll do it twice as much and this is the most hilarious part: she announces how she WILL NEVER be a Vegan as often or more than your stereotypical vegan informs anyone around them that they are vegan. It's wild, it's like the mere existence of the vegan diet is an attack on her. She talks like she feels attacked about it. It's comical. And then I tell her my girlfriend is vegan and she says “and I'd be fine having a vegan boyfriend too as long as he was alright with me eating steak.” I should hit her with a “yes, it's pretty cool when people are tolerant and tactful of each other” some time in the near future the next time she mentions it because I assure you, she will be reminding us at some point about how she will never be vegan despite the fact that nobody at the store eats vegan or even vegetarian, not even the guy who is dating a vegan.
Alright I'm done ranting for now, it was too funny and I just wanted to post a hopefully funny rant here cause I see a lot of frustration here but the struggle just makes me laugh. If I couldn't laugh, I'd cry. I hate talking to this woman because she's so needlessly political but whatever, what's new about a clown being in charge?
