My merit increase is 0%

I just had my 3rd annual performance review with my company. The first two I had were exceptional and I received a “merit based increase”. Late 2021 I got a “cost of living increase”. Both the merit raise and COL raise added together is less than the % inflation we’re seeing. Well I just had my 3rd annual performance review and was expecting to see a raise again, my review was exceptional as always. I put a lot of effort into my job and the results show that. WELL, my boss just came into my office and shut the door. I will not actually be getting a merit raise this year, but an extra $5/paycheck as a phone stipend. I just moved into a new apartment and there have been a lot of upfront expenses I’m still recovering from. Don’t think $5 extra dollars this paycheck will cover it.

I’m not sure why this is the case, I’m sure the company could afford it. I better not have hit my “pay ceiling”, otherwise I may need a new job. I work 50-54 hours a week, getting paid for 40 a week cuz salary, yippee. With my calculated pay rate, I should be making about $20k more a year for all the hours I work regularly. I do like this job and 90% of the people here are very pleasant to work with, but I DO deserve to be paid a little more.
