Im a truck driver that drives a fuel tanker, it’s a very competitive market. In November I put in a two weeks notice to switch to a company with better insurance. During that two weeks period my old job was calling various people at my new job to convince them to not hire me, I didn’t know about it until my first day at my new job when three separate people from my new management said they got calls about not hiring me. Old job has a contract with new job for some work and the leverage they were trying to use was ending the contract if I was hired, luckily my new job called their bluff and old job backed down. Since that time I’ve convinced two drivers from old job to come work with me at new job and I’m working on two other drivers. Old job management has been calling and texting me recently, they’re very unhappy about losing more drivers
