Title says all but I’ll expand. I work for 17$ an hour doing IT help desk for a hospital. The area I live in doesn’t have a lot of options so this is what I’m stuck with for now till I can get out. All jobs around me are shit mcjobs that pay 7$ Bucks an hour so I’m doing allright but I’m not rich or anything.
Anyway, parents are wealthy and have cushy wfh jobs. My brother is in the army and going to med school so he’s never ever had a job ever. They’re planninng a ski vacation for a week during Christmas time in colorado and want me to come and they’re getting pissed I can’t guarantee I’ll get the time off. I can always ask but more than likely my job is just gunna say no because I don’t have enough seniority to get Christmas off.
And it’s not like I can just say “fuck it I quit” because I’m already working for one of the better employers in my area.
Ugh I just feel it’s so out of touch for my family to get mad me for not being able to go on their rich ski vacation because I’m not a boomer that started his career 40 years ago or like my brother that decided to go into the military
