I was on the phone with them and heard the manager in the background yelling at my SO. There was a disagreement with another worker on a messenger app so the manger came to confront my S/O. The manger was yelling and calling for other managers as well. S/O said they were going to leave and the manager said if you leave don't come back. S/O left obviously… were they fired or is this quitting?
What is the best way to respond to this conversation so they can collect unemployment? She no longer wants the job.
Here is how the conversation went:
S/O: Hey PAYROLL, MANAGER tried to corner me and was raising his voice at me so I told him I was going to leave. He told me not to come back so l'll need my final paycheck by the end of tomorrow.
PAYROLL: Hi S/O, please let me know
if you are quitting.
We are willing to have a meeting tomorrow to figure out what is going on but if you are quitting just let me know and I will get the final check issued
