I've been an intern for a district office for over a month now and while most of the staff are pretty accommodating and have a nice attitude towards me, my supervisor is the most condescending person I've ever met. He's a Bill Lumbergh type. Talks like him too. Passive aggressive and arrogant He's the type that uses synonyms to make you feel stupid (ex. Me: “So they're pretty much the same right?” Him: …..”They're identical.”) Petty stuff. The thing is, he only behaves this way towards ME. With other interns, he is pretty engaging and asks them about their interests and tries to connect with them. But with me, he looks fed up. I will admit I am pretty anxious individual and at times can have difficulties with specific tasks. Maybe this is why he acts this way. Either way, I feel unwelcome and stupid whenever he speaks to me.
