My team of 10 has been told only one of us can be off for AL due to many occasions we’re left short staffed

Baring in mind they made half my team redundant, back tracked and tried to hire them back and got told where to go. I know this is common across most businesses but I find it insane the time we do get off is dictated by companies. Edit: AL is annual leave
