My time is worth less than a fence

I work for a local council as an engineer. I get paid $60k NZD a year (roughly €36k or ¥5.2 mill). Looking through a quote for traffic management, we will need to hire roughly 140m of fence (about 82 Smoots) for 91 days (7.862e+8 Jiffies). Just the cost of the fence, not the labour to bring it to site, move it around, and take it back, just the cost of hiring the fence from the contractor, will be $15,153. Admittedly the fence has to work 24/7 so it knows how to hustle during the weekend, so perhaps it deserves to get paid more than me who is using their tea break to rant on Reddit. But, it has made me feel a little better about not having a very productive day.
