So my uncle is in his late 60’s and he works in an IT job(BTW he just became 1 year sober from smoking). He makes good money with good benefits with lots of vacations. It was a great job till not too long ago. Last Christmas he asked me, since I’m into gaming, if I could teach him and maybe play games together sometime, since he’s about to retire(at least I thought). A bunch of workers at his job got fired not too long ago for “criminal activity” I’m not gonna say what it was. But now, because there’s less people, he’s doing all the work with overtime no benefits. He was supposed to retire 3 months ago and they’re taking advantage of how nice he is. It looks pretty bad and I don’t think he’ll retire for another year. Just venting, it just kinda sucks. I’m 16 and I really wanted this because I thought it would be fun to teach him one of my favorite things, but whatever. I would say I’m more of a capitalist and lean more towards free market economy, but when stuff like this happens it makes me confused. I just really hope he retires soon…
