My wife recently got a job in January and works at a tax company and they are about to do layoffs since tax season is ending. Well she did such a good job, her boss offered her to be the manager with no additional raise at $13/hr. They said she can be the manager or be let off for 8 weeks but no guarantee of getting her job back. She hasn't had a job since covid and we need the extra money she's bringing in. I told her to ask her bosses boss(district manager) for a raise if she takes it or at least PTO for certain days we have planned coming up. So we shall see how that goes
