Friday I get home and my wife was visibly upset. She had just gotten off the phone with her boss. Who basically fired her, but didn't say she was fired.
A little back story, her former boss does not like her personally. She's a good employee. She just sees the bs going on, the constant backstabbing, good teachers quitting, the yelling, berating for other people's mistakes. Her boss literally just ordered a book on how to discipline employees. So my wife has made it known that she thinks the school is heading in the wrong direction.
Anyways, she gets the call. Her boss says she was overheard by the assistant principal talking about other students and you can't do that. What was actually going on was that my wife was talking about our son to the guidance counselor. My son's friend died in a car accident on his way to school days earlier. Understandably he's upset.
At this point my wife doesn't care about her job there. She's been miserable for awhile. I've wanted her to leave, but she stays because our kids are there. I tell her to resign before you go to work on Monday and get fired. My question to everyone is it better to quit or get fired?
