I don't often ask for help or outside opinions, but here goes. I am a 37 year old female and am a medical assistant and phlebotomist.
My name has been misspelled on the schedule at work for pretty much the entire time I have worked there (about 8 months). I have brought it up several times in as many months that it is wrong. It is correct on my badge and paycheck. It is also correct in our work group chat.
When they make the board for who is coming in at what time the next day they look at the schedule so my name is always wrong and I always fix it when I get there and in a different color so people can see their mistake. If I make the board before I leave it is always rewritten in the morning and my name will be wrong.
I had 4 patients today ask me if my badge was wrong or the board, which means they noticed and have for a while.
So my question is…do I bring it up to the manager that makes the schedules and our center manager who approves it one more time or post about it in the group chat? Either way is going to look petty and unprofessional. But my name is quite literally my identity and it is important to have it spelled correctly. It is a fairly common name/word and only has one spelling.
