I worked at a call center doing political surveys. Until the end of the day today. First off, there are definitely points in this story where I could have done better, but my point still stands that he is a narcissistic shithead. I was talking with a coworker between calls till he came up to me and told me to do my job. The problem here is that I was doing my job. I had even helped that coworker with some questions earlier. And our job is to do surveys and in-between calls they give us nothing to do. So I tell him I am doing my job look at the board.(the board lists our stats) This was my first mistake. He then stood over me very aggressively and said “are you going to listen to me or not?” I dropped it. Thinking throughout the day though I couldn't let it go. I came into his office at the end of the day and asked him to clear the air. I said, sorry about earlier. I was just caught off guard.(this was true, I legit thought he was joking at first during the earlier altercation because of how aggressive he was.) I say we just agree to be less aggressive towards one another in the future. Agreed? This was my second mistake. He launched into this big diatribe about how he's been at this for 40 years and he's better than me and doesn't need to change anything. I asked him if we needed to involve hr, and he fired me. I'm now organizing a massive hr complaint against the guy as there are at least 10 supervisors under him who all think he is an aggressive shithead, because he is. Wish me luck!
