Narcissistic Ex-Boss

Hi all, coming here for a bit of advice. A few months ago I left an independent contractor job due to personal health concerns and an uncomfortable work environment. Since my meeting with my coworkers about my departure (which my ex-boss chose NOT to show up to), she has not reached out to me in any way. Fast forward to yesterday: I had a former client reach out that she wants to work with me again since my replacement was not a good fit for her learning style. I gladly accepted, but now I'm feeling anxious at the prospect of the client or myself being harassed about the decision. Hi all, coming here for a bit of advice. A few months ago I left an independent contractor job due to personal health concerns and an uncomfortable work environment. Since my meeting with my coworkers about my departure (which my ex-boss chose NOT to show up to), she has not reached out to me in any way. Fast forward to yesterday:

I had a former client reach out that she wants to work with me again since my replacement was not a good fit for her learning style. I gladly accepted, but now I'm feeling anxious at the prospect of the client or myself being harassed about the decision. My ex-boss will stop at no lengths to get what SHE wants, no matter the cost or the feelings of others. I do not want the client to be reprimanded for the tension between myself and my ex-boss. For some clarification, the client is also a student of my ex-boss's, so she can't exactly cut ties with ex-boss if things do go south. So what exactly do I want advice on you may be asking:

Should I stop being anxious about something that MIGHT happen that hasn't yet? My past experiences have definitely increased my anxieties around situations involving my ex-boss. If she does tell the client that she cannot return to me, do I ignore it and let it go? Should I send an email to her calling her out? I'm unsure about how to approach it because my ex-boss was once an inspiration to me but working with her opened my eyes to her manipulative and abusive language towards students and co-workers alike. TIA!
