I recently got fired from my tech job and I am in a bit of a worried. I have a 3.5-month unemployment period where I will receive my previous salary, which gives me time to search for my next job.
I have received an offer for a job, but the conditions are not ideal. The salary is the same as my previous job, but it is far from my home, I will have to work holidays, and be on-call during off hours.
I am torn between accepting this offer or waiting for a better opportunity.
On one hand, the conditions are not ideal and I do not want to work in a negative environment. On the other hand, I am worried that if I miss this opportunity, I may not find anything else within my desired salary within the next 3.5 months.
Which will leave me without any income.
what would you do in this situation? Should I accept the offer? Or should I wait and keep searching for a better opportunity? I am also considering the option of accepting the offer and continuing to search for another workplace, but I am not sure how that will look.
