Long story short my M(35) gf (33) was just informed that her jobs owner doesn’t have any money to pay them this coming Friday and and that if they wanted to stay it would be to work for free.
She has one week she has worked (which was last week) that they said they have no money to pay them for. And if they stayed this full week it would be for free.
She is a w2 employee.
If she quit today, can she file a wage claim for last week?

Small business had their business partner pass away, and 2nd partner is just cutting everything and everyone off and closing untill things are figured out in a month or so.
