Need your thoughts on a newer young coworker who acts like a boss

I'm mid 30s have been working in my job for nearly 10 years. So far I've been ok with it. It has its ups and downs. Almost all my coworkers are nice and we can work along well. Things are ok for everyone until the entry of a newer in mid 20s guy. He joined and is pretty chummy with all the big bosses. A lot of my colleagues do not like him because he is too brash. Yet some bosses like him because he is helpful in events and seem friendly to many.

What's your thoughts on this and how do we deal with people like this?
