I need to vent, I'm so furious. A good friend of mine is getting screwed for doing what he was told. Small business, “like family,” all the red flags. Was told “not to worry” about certain things. Moved on to other work, which the “family” didn't take kindly to, and now those certain things are coming back to bite him.
Small business owners are not your friend; they are just as big of greedy bastards as the big corporations. Don't trust any of them. They are not your friend, and they will throw you under the bus if it's at all expedient.
