New company wants to use a questionable background check company – like it literally has one stars all over the internet (dm me for the company – they suck). I would be an independent contractor and they are making me pay for it.

I respectfully declined to use theirs and offered to do an official, fingerprint scan. Does this mean I'm on the hook for 1). her shitty choice of background check company AND 2). the option I am offering? I so wish she had run it past me. They don't do refunds for unused reports (shocker). I am not happy with this situation.
