Been working here for 6 years this month. My starting pay at the time was $12/hr. 6 years later I only make $20/hr. We have recently hired a bunch of new employees, and most of them were hired at $20/hr and a few are making even more than that. Am I wrong to be angered by this? (These people do not have any previous experience that would explain the pay rate btw)
How do you cope with the lack of consistency in peoples pay? How can I be expected to stay motivated and do a good job, when every new (or existing) coworker is making more than me? Took me forever to get to this place after 7 raises lol. Others just walk in and are offered that rate right off the bat.
