I don’t know if this is the right place… but I’ve been with the company 3 years. Almost 1 yr in my current position in June. My position was dissolved in Jan/feb and I was being forced promoted into the next position up along with everyone else. I don’t know their situation but I’m still in the old position name and pay rate where as anyone NEW hired (hired into the position im being forced into) since Feb is making at least 1.50$ per hour more than me being new to the company and no experience. My boss says they have changed a lot of things and it is taking so long to get this updated and still hasn’t happened yet. Am I legally entitled to back pay for this since the position was dissolved? I’m so frustrated and I don’t feel valued. I like the job just fine but I found out about this today and have been crying ever since. Please help. Any advice or anything. Should I contact HR?! A lawyer or just fuck it all and get a different job? I don’t want a new job I just want my pay I was promised since Jan.
Edit: the pay I was “promised” would be $2 more than new hires but it’s still not in effect to this day. It’s being “worked on”
