I just got back into a corporate ER job in the vet field. I am so excited to start working ER again and nightshift was by far my favorite shift. That being said when asked about my availability I stated I was completely free all day any day they choose with the exception being Saturday nights after 5pm. This is the one time a week I see my friends and the only time we can truly hang out and play DnD. Imagine my suprise when I opened up my employment paperwork today and noticed they scheduled me to work Thursday through Sunday nights. It's things like this that make me question if it's on purpose of my field is just this toxic. The pay is great but honestly thinking I should just take the pay cut and work factory the rest of my life.
