New job changed rate of pay from listed add to lower once they heard my previous pay was much lower.

Long story short, I applied for a position making $6 more than my last because of COL and not being able to afford anything. My previous job had great benefits but I was underpaid and being taken advantaged of as a good employee who didn’t like to complain. During my interview for the new position I was asked what my current rate was and I truthfully answered (lesson learned now). I didn’t think much of it but after the interview I was asked again which was a bit concerning. Finally, once I received the call for the initial job offer I was asked for the third time and followed with “we would like to offer you the position at a rate $2 less than the position listed. Come to find out I’m taking this position from the owners nephew who also has 0 experience in the position who did receive the listed pay so lack of experience wasn’t the reason..

My 90 day probation period is coming up this month. Can I ask for the full amount now? I also was eligible for benefits as of the first day after my second month and haven’t been told anything about them and when asked told we will get to it later.
