My thoughts “ok so I busted my ass all year and took the time to fill out my review, line by line, proving I went above and beyond and saved the company over 60k in process improvements (all proven on paper) while everyone else just filled in the dots all the way down the middle with zero comments and zero fucks all year and we're all deserving of the same raise?!”. I fought for a larger raise and was told I did what was expected of me because I operate at an A level while the other people in my department did what was expected of them because they operate at a C level so it justifies 100% to the company why we all get the same raise.
I have been sitting on my phone 20hrs a week ever since because I have an office to myself and no manager in my building. I bet I get the same raise without 98% of the stress. It's all about the work life balance people and I have been much better off not stressing at work. He actually did me a huge favor by telling me to chill out with my aspirations like that guy on StarWars.
