i work in a fast casual food service place.my new manager is an old guy. today a rather rough looking homeless person came in and went straight to our bathroom , came out shortly and left a bit of mud (just mud) on the mens bathroom floor. as the gentleman exited ,manager rushes over to me and said from now on to warn him everytime a homeless person comes in, he says its a liability for our company to allow it without them buying something. my other managers are pretty sweet ladies and they have all been pretty nice to homeless people ,they give them extras if we have any or a dessert if they come in asking if we have anything to spare. ive always liked this about them because im very irked by how mean the neighboring chipotle is to homeless, they will throw them out even if they can pay for the food, just for getting in line. now the new manager wants me to start telling on these folks who just want to go use the restroom and i dont think im gonna. i understand if they were like, doing drugs or really messing up the place how he could get upset, but theyre just peeing! i feel like not going to the bathroom in the street is a basic human right and im not gonna snitch on them to a freak named pat. im just gonna say i didnt see them if he says anything.
