The medical company my wife works for has a new policy that nurses have to clock out for a 1 hour lunch.
The kicker is that it's a hospice company, and my wife works out of her car more than an hour away. Sometimes she's out in BFE and her case load is often more than 12 hours a day.
This company is also asking the nurses to clock out between patients, meaning that they would only be paid mileage for about 5 hours a day. This means that my wife is gone from the home 12 hours a day, but paid only while in a patient's home, getting paid for 6 hours (after an hour lunch).
Between clients, as she's driving, it's her responsibility to communicate with the doctors, pharmacists, the office and the family of her patients.
Her last two paychecks were half of what we're used to, without dropping a single patient.
