So my hometown is like a huge food service joint. Like, it's bad. We get a new restaurant showing up every other month. Anyway, I applied to this one fastfood place that's kind of on the rise, and they kept saying they'd get back to me, and I even called back, as positions slowly got filled behind my back. First time I apply for cashier. They say sure we'll call you back. I wait 2 days. Then I call back as a follow-up. I hear lots of background noise and they straight up rudely say, “hey man look we're busy man idk what to tell you.” Keep in mind, they've been open for like a week. So, i then go inperson and regive them my resume. Cashier positions have all been taken. But they're looking for people to do “expo”! It's basically their takeout services. I'm like, okay, I can do that. They said they'll get back to me. I let 2 days go by and then call them. They said for me to come in that day. I go in and another guy is telling me all the Expo positions have now been filled, but they're looking for me to be a Line Cook. Heartbroken, I just say for them to keep me in their thoughts when Expo or Cashiering become available, and I dip. What a shitshow! What an honest to God shitshow.
