As an American and someone who has worked since I was 18 years old and now late 30s… been through now two recessions… like what is the ending goal here? We work till we die? I work all week full time and then I do chores on the weekend (or weekdays if I’m not exhausted) and repeat. At least with countries with free health care you could work part time and have more time for family. But the older I get the more it just saddens and angers me being here in America. And I really think it’s a large contributing factor towards my depression.
Edit to add: It would be one thing if we worked all this time and made good money but it’s not even that. We live comfortably for the most part but not really able to save a whole lot.
