No mobile phones allowed at work?

So they don’t want you to have a phone on you at work? Use this to your advantage. If you don’t want to be bothered at home with requests to cover shifts, simply ignore any calls.( And make sure you don’t have a home phone). When questioned back at work why you didn’t answer your mobile, just say: I told my partner about how we can’t have phones at work because management says it’s a distraction and stops us focusing on our work. My partner agreed and said from now on I can’t have my phone on whilst I’m at home so I can focus entirely on my family! If they counter with ‘ But you need to be available’, reply ‘ No chance, my partner is like management- they don’t negotiate’…..
